2D Interior Draftsman / 2D Interior Designer

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented 2D Interior Draftsman with expertise in preparing accurate and comprehensive interior working drawings. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of residential and commercial interiors, modular furniture, civil works, and construction detailing. The role requires producing execution-ready drawings that can be directly used by site teams, vendors, and manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed 2D working drawings for residential and commercial interior projects.

Develop complete drawing sets including:

Furniture Layout Plans

Demolition & Civil Layouts

Flooring Layouts

False Ceiling Plans

Electrical & Lighting Layouts

Plumbing Layouts

Modular Kitchen Drawings

Wardrobe & Storage Details

Furniture Working Drawings

Joinery Details

Wall Elevations

Sectional Details

Staircase & Railing Details (where applicable)

Produce accurate modular furniture drawings suitable for factory production.

Coordinate drawings with designers, project managers, site engineers, and execution teams.

Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, site conditions, and construction standards.

Update drawings based on site changes and client revisions.

Maintain drawing standards, layer management, dimensioning, and documentation.

Required Technical Skills

Expert proficiency in AutoCAD.

Strong understanding of interior construction methodologies.

Excellent knowledge of modular furniture detailing and manufacturing.

Thorough understanding of civil, gypsum, electrical, plumbing, and finishing works.

Ability to prepare execution-ready working drawings with minimal supervision.

Strong knowledge of material specifications, hardware, laminates, veneers, stone, glass, metals, paints, and finishing materials.

Excellent understanding of standard furniture dimensions, ergonomic standards, and building measurements.

Ability to interpret design concepts into technically accurate drawings.

Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.

Required Knowledge

The candidate should have sound knowledge of:

Standard dimensions for residential and commercial interiors.

Modular kitchen and wardrobe construction systems.

Furniture joinery and manufacturing details.

Material thicknesses and construction specifications.

Edge banding, shutter systems, hardware, and accessories.

Stone, tile, wooden flooring, ceiling, partition, and wall finish specifications.

Civil construction detailing and execution practices.

On-site feasibility and execution standards.

Industry drafting standards and best practices.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

1–5 years of experience in interior working drawings and execution documentation.

Experience with luxury residential interiors is preferred.

Preferred Software

AutoCAD (Mandatory)

SketchUp (Preferred)

Microsoft Office

Basic knowledge of Photoshop is an added advantage.
