About the RoleWe are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor who can turn raw footage into engaging, professional and high-retention videos for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and other social-media platforms.

The ideal candidate should understand storytelling, pacing, hooks, captions, sound effects, music, transitions and social-media trends — not just basic video cutting.

• Key ResponsibilitiesEdit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage to final publish-ready video.
• Create engaging Shorts, Reels and social-media videos.
• Add B-roll, stock footage, images, graphics and relevant visual elements.
• Create strong openings/hooks to improve viewer retention.
• Add subtitles, captions, text animations and motion graphics.
• Perform basic color correction and audio enhancement.
• Select suitable background music and sound effects.
• Maintain consistent editing style, fonts, transitions and branding.
• Understand the script and use visuals that support the story.
• Repurpose long-form videos into multiple Shorts/Reels.
• Coordinate with the content/script team for revisions.
• Keep project files properly organized and maintain editing archives.
• Stay updated with current YouTube, Instagram and video-editing trends.
• Required SkillsGood knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve / Final Cut Pro.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of After Effects is preferred.
• Good understanding of video storytelling and pacing.
• Ability to create engaging captions and text animations.
• Understanding of YouTube retention and audience engagement.
• Basic knowledge of color grading and audio mixing.
• Ability to find and use appropriate B-roll and stock footage.
• Good sense of timing, music and sound effects.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Preferred SkillsExperience editing YouTube educational, business, finance, technology or motivational content.
• Experience creating high-retention Shorts/Reels.
• Knowledge of thumbnail design is an advantage.
• Understanding of YouTube analytics and retention graphs is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of AI video-editing tools is an advantage.

Performance ExpectationsThe editor should be able to:

• Deliver videos within agreed deadlines.
• Maintain consistent quality across all videos.
• Minimize unnecessary revisions.
• Improve viewer engagement through better editing.
• Follow the brand's visual style.
• Handle multiple videos/projects simultaneously.

Candidate ProfileWe are looking for someone who is:

Salary₹12,000 – ₹18,000 per month, depending on experience, editing skills and portfolio.

For an exceptional editor with strong YouTube/social-media experience, compensation can be discussed based on capability.

ImportantCandidates should submit 3–5 examples of their previous video-editing work, especially YouTube videos, Shorts or Reels.

A strong portfolio will be given more importance than a degree or certificate.
