Job Description
- Receiving & Inspection: Inspect incoming materials, supplies, and equipment against purchase orders (POs) and delivery notes, checking for damage, defects, or quantity discrepancies. [1, 2, 3]
- Storage & Organization: Arrange goods systematically in designated locations based on size, weight, and safety needs, utilizing inventory management methods like FIFO (First-In, First-Out). [1, 2]
- Stock Issuance: Issue and dispense materials to internal departments or workers strictly against approved requisition notes or material lists. [1, 2]
- Recordkeeping & Documentation: Update Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), stock ledgers, bin cards, and inventory software. [1, 2, 3]
- Inventory Control & Audits: Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, and conduct regular daily, weekly, or annual physical stock checks. [1, 2]
