About the Role

The selected candidates will work directly with our US-based partner company, which specializes in engineering services and advanced software development for the metal forming and manufacturing industry.The role involves working with an in-house team of engineers to digitally replicate, analyze, and optimize metal forming processes before physical production begins. The work will include forging process simulation, engineering software development, and software application design.We are looking for Simulation Forging Engineers who are interested in developing expertise in metal forging, computer-aided engineering (CAE), finite element analysis (FEA), and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Process Modeling & Analysis

* Perform finite element analysis (FEA) of complex forging processes using specialized simulation software.

* Develop and analyze virtual models of hot, warm, and cold forging operations.

* Predict potential manufacturing defects such as laps, folds, underfilling, cracks, and excessive die wear.

* Analyze thermal profiles and material flow during heating, transfer, forging, and cooling stages.

* Evaluate and optimize forging processes before physical production.

Die Design & Process Optimization

* Analyze and optimize die geometries and preform designs to improve tool life and reduce raw material consumption.

* Support flash optimization and material utilization studies.

* Evaluate die stresses and structural integrity to identify potential tooling failures.

* Work with tool designers to translate simulation results into manufacturing-ready CAD models.

Data Analysis & Validation

* Analyze simulation results and provide engineering recommendations.

* Support predictions related to grain size, phase transformation, and post-forging residual stresses.

* Prepare technical reports and documentation.

* Present simulation results and recommendations to engineering teams.

Required Skills

CAD / Engineering Software

* Basic knowledge of SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.

* Ability to interpret and understand 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.

* Interest in learning specialized forging simulation and CAE software.

Technical Knowledge

* Basic understanding of mechanical engineering and manufacturing processes.

* Knowledge of metal forming / forging processes is an advantage.

* Understanding of metal plasticity, heat transfer, material flow, and mechanical properties of metals such as steel, aluminum, or superalloys is preferred.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Eligibility & Experience

* Freshers and recent engineering graduates are welcome to apply.

* B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or a related specialization.

* Candidates with an interest in forging, metal forming, CAE/FEA, simulation, CAD, and manufacturing engineering are encouraged to apply.

* Prior industrial experience in forging or simulation is an advantage but not mandatory.

Training & Development

Comprehensive hands-on training and technical skill development will be provided in-house.

Selected candidates will receive practical exposure to:

* Forging process simulation

* CAE/FEA techniques

* Die and preform optimization

* Metal forming processes

* Engineering CAD and simulation tools

* Analysis and interpretation of simulation results
