Job Summary:

We are seeking a polished, energetic, and leadership-driven Captain / Floor Captain to oversee front-of-house dining operations and service execution at Mira’s. The Captain will lead daily floor shifts, supervise station allocations, ensure impeccable table service standards, handle guest escalations, and drive beverage and food upselling. Acting as the critical bridge between the service team, pastry kitchen, hot kitchen, and store management, the Captain guarantees a seamless and luxurious dining experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dining Floor Supervision & Shift Management:

·      Oversee front-of-house operations during opening, running, and closing shifts to ensure polished, attentive service.

·      Conduct pre-shift service briefings with stewards and trainees to review daily chef specials, 86’d items, VIP reservations, and grooming standards.

·      Supervise station zoning, table turnaround times, side-station replenishment, and floor cleanliness.

·      Coordinate table seating, manage guest waitlists during peak rush hours, and maintain smooth flow across dine-in sections.

2. Service Excellence, Upselling & Order Pacing:

·      Guide guests through the menu with thorough knowledge of artisanal baked items, specialty coffees, gourmet dishes, and allergen details.

·      Drive suggestive selling and upselling techniques across the team to increase average order value (AOV) on signature desserts, artisanal breads, and curated beverages.

·      Monitor POS/KOT order transmission and communicate directly with the kitchen and bar to pace courses and ensure timely food delivery.

3. Guest Engagement & Complaint Resolution:

·      Actively interact with diners to assess satisfaction, build genuine rapport, and capture actionable guest feedback.

·      Handle table complaints, service delays, or order inaccuracies with empathy, composure, and immediate corrective action.

·      Maintain records of regular patrons, their preferred seating areas, and specific dietary preferences.

4. Team Guidance, Training & Operational Administration:

·      Train, evaluate, and mentor junior stewards and trainees on table setup, cutlery handling, napkin folds, and professional hospitality etiquette.

·      Ensure adherence to statutory health, safety, cash handling, and food service hygiene standards.

·      Audit daily billing accuracy, assist with daily cash/card reconciliation, and report shift performance highlights to the Restaurant Manager.

Qualifications & Skills:

·      3–6 years of experience in F&B front-of-house service, with at least 1–2 years in a Captain, Senior Captain, or Floor Lead capacity in premium cafés, upscale casual dining, or luxury hotels.

·      Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality (preferred).

·      Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills in English and Hindi.

·      Demonstrated ability to lead a floor crew under fast-paced, high-volume dining rush hours.

·      Strong operational proficiency with restaurant POS/KOT systems (e.g., Petpooja).

·      Polished grooming, warm personality, problem-solving mindset, and strong guest-first philosophy.

·      Flexibility to work split shifts, weekends, and festival holidays.
