Shipping Industry – Recruitment Process

Manpower Requirement

  • Receive vessel/rank requirement from the ship manager.
  • Confirm joining date, vessel, rank, trading area, and contract duration.

Candidate Sourcing

  • Search candidates through company database, referrals, job portals, and recruitment agencies.
  • Shortlist candidates based on rank, experience, vessel type, and required certificates.

CV Screening

  • Rank and sea service
  • Vessel type and DWT
  • Previous companies
  • Last sign-off date
  • Relevant experience
  • Certificates and licenses

Interview / Evaluation

  • Conduct HR/technical interview.
  • Arrange Master/Chief Engineer/management interview where required.
  • Record interview remarks and final recommendation.
