Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated PLC Automation Engineer with experience in PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, electrical control panels and industrial automation. The candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting automation systems for various industrial applications, including furnaces, steel plants and process industries.
- Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, program and troubleshoot PLC systems using Siemens, Schneider or other PLC platforms.
- Design and develop HMI and SCADA applications for industrial automation.
- Prepare PLC logic, control narratives, I/O lists, functional descriptions and related technical documents.
- Work on VFDs, soft starters, motors, sensors, transmitters and other industrial automation equipment.
- Develop electrical control logic, interlocks, sequences and alarm systems.
- Perform PLC panel testing, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).
- Attend site commissioning, troubleshooting and automation-related service activities.
- Coordinate with the electrical design and panel manufacturing teams to ensure proper integration of automation systems.
- Interface PLC systems with industrial communication networks and other equipment.
- Provide technical support and resolve automation-related issues at customer sites.
- Required Skills & QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
- Hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs (S7-1200, S7-1500) and TIA Portal.
- Knowledge of HMI and SCADA programming.
- Understanding of VFDs, motor control, control circuits and electrical drawings.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, Profinet and Profibus.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Willingness to travel for site commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Preferred ExperienceExperience in industrial furnace and heat treatment automation.
- Knowledge of temperature control, PID control, burners and heating systems.
- Experience with Siemens PLCs, HMIs and drives.
- Experience in PCC, MCC and PLC control panel testing and commissioning.
