Job Description
A Hotel Reservation Manager oversees all room booking operations, maximizes room revenue, and manages the reservation team to ensure a smooth guest pre-arrival experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Booking & Inventory Management: Oversee individual and group reservations, handle room allocations, manage room blocking for long stays or VIPs, and prevent overbookings.
- Revenue & Rate Optimization: Assist the Revenue Manager with dynamic pricing, rate plan setups, and forecasting occupancy to hit financial targets.
- Team Leadership: Train, schedule, and supervise reservation staff, monitoring call/email etiquette and overall performance.
- Cross-Department Coordination: Liaise closely with the Front Office Manager, Housekeeping, and Sales departments regarding group blocks, special requests, and VIP arrivals.
- Policy & Discrepancy Resolution: Manage cancellations, no-shows, and billing policies, while resolving booking errors.
