Civil Drafter

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D civil and architectural drawings based on design requirements and project specifications.
• Develop detailed drawings for plans, elevations, sections, floor layouts, structural details, and construction details.
• Prepare and modify drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
• Incorporate revisions and updates based on instructions from architects, engineers, and project teams.
• Prepare working drawings and detailed construction drawings for site execution.
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and other services drawings.
• Review drawings for dimensions, levels, annotations, specifications, and overall accuracy.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings based on actual site conditions.
• Coordinate with site engineers to understand site requirements and resolve drawing-related issues.
• Maintain proper records and organised files of approved, revised, and issued drawings.
• Ensure that the latest approved drawings are issued to the relevant project/site teams.
• Make necessary corrections and revisions based on site feedback and project requirements.
• Assist in preparing BOQ-related drawings, quantity take-offs, and supporting documentation, where required.
• Follow company drafting standards, project specifications, and applicable construction practices.

Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Drafting, Architecture, or a related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in civil drafting or construction-related drafting.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of civil construction drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and detailing.
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Good understanding of dimensions, levels, scales, and construction terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work within deadlines and manage multiple drawing revisions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in residential and commercial construction projects.
• Knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, Civil 3D, or other drafting/BIM software is an advantage.
• Experience working directly with site/project teams.
• Knowledge of construction detailing and practical site execution.
• Ability to understand and incorporate site measurements and as-built conditions.
