Job Description
Jansahkar Co-op Credit Society Ltd. is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Branch Manager to manage branch operations, business development, loan sales and recovery, deposits, customer service, and team performance.
The Branch Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth and compliant branch functioning while achieving business targets and maintaining strong relationships with members and customers.
- Key Responsibilities1. Branch Operations & ComplianceManage day-to-day branch operations efficiently and ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable co-operative society, banking/credit, KYC, AML, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proper branch records, registers, documentation, and operational controls.
- Monitor cash handling, transactions, vouchers, accounts, and other branch activities.
- Coordinate with the Head Office and ensure timely submission of reports and information.
- Identify operational risks and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Support internal, statutory, and regulatory audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
- 2. Business DevelopmentDrive overall branch business growth in line with organizational objectives.
- Develop new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with existing members/customers.
- Promote the society's loan, deposit, and other financial products/services.
- Develop business through local networking, referrals, community relationships, and field activities.
- Monitor branch performance against monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Prepare and implement action plans to improve branch profitability and growth.
- 3. Loan Sales & RecoveryGenerate quality loan business while ensuring adherence to credit policies and eligibility criteria.
- Guide the team in sourcing, processing, documentation, and follow-up of loan applications.
- Monitor loan portfolios and ensure timely repayment by borrowers.
- Track overdue accounts and coordinate recovery activities.
- Conduct customer visits and follow up on delinquent accounts where required.
- Maintain portfolio quality and minimize delinquency and credit risk.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance throughout the loan process.
- 4. Deposits & Customer ServiceAchieve branch targets for deposits and other assigned business parameters.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members and customers.
- Promote savings, recurring deposits, fixed deposits, and other applicable deposit products.
- Ensure prompt resolution of customer queries and complaints.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and member satisfaction.
- Encourage customer retention and develop long-term relationships.
- 5. Team ManagementLead, supervise, and motivate branch staff to achieve operational and business targets.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor individual/team performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and guidance.
- Ensure discipline, professionalism, and adherence to organizational policies.
- Identify training and development needs of team members.
- Foster a positive, customer-focused, and performance-oriented work environment.

- Eligibility & ExperienceGraduate in any discipline; a degree in Commerce, Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or a related field will be preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in branch operations, credit/loan, recovery, banking, NBFC, or co-operative financial institutions.
- Prior experience in a Branch Manager, Branch Officer, Credit Officer, or similar supervisory role will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of branch operations, loan processing, recovery, deposits, KYC, and compliance.
- Candidates with experience in a co-operative credit society or similar financial institution will be preferred.
