Job Description
Pragati Engineering Works is hiring an experienced Safety Officer for our data centre and infrastructure construction sites in Navi Mumbai and Pune. The role covers civil, electrical (HT/LT), MEP, HVAC and fire safety works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor safety procedures across all site activities as per statutory and client EHS norms.
- Conduct daily site inspections, toolbox talks and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before high-risk activities.
- Enforce use of PPE and safe work practices for work-at-height, hot work, electrical, lifting and confined-space jobs.
- Carry out regular safety audits, identify hazards and drive timely corrective actions with site teams.
- Verify permits-to-work and monitor contractor safety compliance before and during jobs.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare reports and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain safety documentation, permit records, registers and daily/weekly reports.
