Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the entire kitchen team and daily kitchen operations.
- Plan and execute the café’s menu consistently with high food quality and presentation.
- Maintain standard recipes, portion sizes, taste, and plating.
- Supervise Commis Chefs and kitchen helpers and delegate daily tasks.
- Manage food preparation, mise en place, and smooth service during peak hours.
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen SOPs.
- Monitor stock, control food wastage, and coordinate with management for purchasing.
- Train and guide kitchen staff on recipes, techniques, and hygiene standards.
- Handle customer feedback related to food and ensure quick resolution.
- Develop new dishes and seasonal specials when required.
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and FIFO practices.
- Maintain discipline and teamwork within the kitchen.
