Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled, well-presented, and service-oriented Senior Barista to elevate the guest experience at our premium salon. The ideal candidate will have strong coffee-making skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to deliver personalized, luxury-level service to salon clients.

The Senior Barista will oversee daily beverage operations, maintain the highest standards of quality and hygiene, and ensure every client enjoys a seamless and memorable hospitality experience while receiving salon services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coffee & Beverage PreparationPrepare and serve premium coffee, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, Americano, and specialty beverages.

• Maintain consistency in taste, temperature, presentation, and beverage quality.
• Operate and maintain professional espresso machines, grinders, and other beverage equipment.
• Prepare tea, herbal infusions, cold beverages, and other menu offerings as required.
• Recommend beverages based on client preferences and menu offerings.

2. Luxury Client Service, Welcome salon clients warmly and offer beverages with professionalism and courtesy.

• Provide personalized hospitality while respecting clients’ privacy, comfort, and ongoing salon treatments.
• Coordinate with receptionists, hairstylists, therapists, and salon managers to ensure timely beverage service.
• Anticipate client needs and deliver attentive, discreet, and polished service.
• Handle client feedback and special requests promptly and professionally.

3. Daily Operations & Team Supervision, Lead and support junior baristas or beverage service staff.

• Allocate daily tasks and ensure smooth workflow during peak salon hours.
• Train team members on beverage preparation, presentation, hygiene, and service etiquette.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate inventory replenishment.
• Ensure all beverages are served according to established quality and service standards.

4. Hygiene, Safety & Equipment Maintenance, Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station, preparation areas, and service equipment.

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and safe food-handling procedures.
• Monitor ingredient freshness, expiry dates, and proper storage.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of coffee machines and grinders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable food safety regulations and salon policies.

5. Inventory & Cost Control, Track consumption of coffee beans, milk, syrups, tea, cups, and other supplies.

• Minimize wastage and maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Assist with stocktaking, ordering, and inventory records.
• Monitor portion sizes and follow standardized recipes to control costs.
• Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum 2–4 years of experience as a barista, preferably in a premium café, luxury hotel, fine-dining establishment, or upscale hospitality environment.
• Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of espresso preparation, milk steaming, latte art, and beverage presentation.
• Experience operating commercial coffee machines and grinders.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, sanitation, and inventory management.
