Accountant

A Senior Accountant in real estate oversees financial opera ons for property por olios, focusing on complex reconcilia ons, monthly closings, and financial repor ng (GL, balance sheets, cash flow).

They ensure GAAP compliance, handle tax compliance (TDS, GST), analyze budget variances, and manage accounts payable/receivable. Key Responsibili es  Financial Repor ng & Closing: Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, preparing comprehensive financial statements for property por olios.  General Ledger & Reconcilia on: Maintain the general ledger, perform bank reconcilia ons, and reconcile vendor ledgers/accounts payable.  Budge ng & Analysis: Analyze budget variances, monitor cash flow, and prepare forecas ng reports to support property management.  Tax & Compliance: Handle GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), TDS/TCS compliance, and ensure compliance with GAAP or local accoun ng standards.  Opera onal Support: Collaborate with property managers to opmize financial performance and manage property opera ng expenses. Requirements  Experience: Usually 3–5+ years of accoun ng experience, with specific experience in real estate, property management, or construc on.  Educa on: Bachelor’s degree in Accoun ng, Finance, or related field.  Technical Skills: High proficiency in Excel and real estate so ware.  Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regula ons.
