Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and resourceful Freight Broker to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for connecting shippers with carriers, negotiating competitive rates, and ensuring smooth transportation of goods. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
📌 Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers.
- Negotiate freight rates and secure profitable contracts.
- Coordinate and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Resolve transportation issues and provide proactive customer support.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, contracts, and communications.
- Monitor market trends to identify new business opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
🎯 Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Freight Broker or in logistics/supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in freight management software and MS Office tools.
- Knowledge of U.S. trucking regulations and market practices.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
