Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, compliance, and ERP-based financial processes. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the fabric or textile industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations.
• Maintain General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Bank Reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances.
• Handle inventory accounting, costing, and manufacturing-related financial transactions.
• Monitor receivables, payables, and cash flow.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and statutory authorities.
• Prepare MIS reports and financial analysis for management.
• Ensure accuracy of financial records and internal controls.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
• Support ERP implementation, customization, and process improvements.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles and Financial Reporting.
• Excellent knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
• Good understanding of inventory management and manufacturing accounting.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Mandatory Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience working on ERP software.
• Experience in a manufacturing company is mandatory.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience handling complete books of accounts independently.
• Knowledge of inventory valuation and production costing.
• Ability to work with multiple departments including Production, Purchase, Stores, and Sales.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Capable of meeting deadlines and working under pressure.

Knowledge of any ERP preferably ERPNext will be useful
