Role Summary
We are looking for an Account Executive with strong hands-on skills in Tally to manage day-to-day accounting, statutory compliance and financial records. You will report to the management team and work closely with the project and purchase teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Record all daily transactions in Tally, including sales, purchase, payment, receipt, journal and contra entries
- Prepare and maintain ledgers, cash book and bank book
- Carry out monthly bank reconciliation
- Prepare GST invoices and e-way bills
- Compute GST and assist in filing GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, including GSTR-2B reconciliation
- Calculate TDS, deposit it on time and help with TDS return filing
- Track receivables and payables, and follow up with clients and vendors on dues
- Maintain vendor and customer records and verify supporting documents
- Handle petty cash and expense vouchers
- Prepare monthly MIS reports and help with trial balance and finalisation of accounts
- Support statutory and internal audits with required records
- Keep all accounting documents properly filed, both physical and digital
Required Skills
- Expert in Tally Prime / Tally ERP 9, including GST and inventory features
- Good working knowledge of GST, TDS and basic Income Tax rules
- Working knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas)
- Understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
- Good attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- Clear communication in English, Bengali and Hindi
- Ability to meet deadlines and work with little supervision
Preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering or project-based company
- Familiarity with GST portal, TRACES and Income Tax portal
- Exposure to any ERP software besides Tally
