Job Description

Job Description – Production SupervisorDepartment: Production

Industry: Automotive Manufacturing

Location: Chakan Pune

Reporting To: Production Manager / Plant Head

Experience: 2–5 Years

  • Key ResponsibilitiesExecute daily/shift-wise production plan and achieve production targets.
  • Manage manpower deployment and ensure optimum utilization.
  • Monitor OEE, productivity, cycle time and machine downtime.
  • Ensure production as per SOP, Work Instructions and Control Plan.
  • Control rejection, rework and process deviations.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores and PPC for smooth production.
  • Ensure availability of material, machines and manpower.
  • Maintain production, OEE, rejection and downtime reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety, 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Conduct proper shift handover and escalate production issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Key KPIsProduction Achievement: ≥98%
  • OEE: ≥80%
  • Rejection: ≤0.5%
  • Safety: Zero LTI
  • 5S Compliance: ≥90%
  • Downtime: Continuous reduction
  • Qualification & SkillsDiploma / ITI / BE – Mechanical / Production / Automobile.
  • 3–7 years' experience in automotive manufacturing.
  • Good manpower handling and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of OEE, 5S, 7 QC Tools, SOP, Control Plan and IATF 16949.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel / SAP / ERP preferred.
