Job Description
*Consultant Ophthalmologist* A Consultant Ophthalmologist is a senior medical eye specialist who diagnoses, manages, and surgically treats complex eye diseases. They lead clinical teams, perform delicate eye operations, and oversee patient care in hospitals or specialized eye clinics.
*Core Responsibilities:*
Clinical Care: Examine patients, run outpatient clinics, and diagnose conditions like cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal disorders.
Perform procedures such as cataract removal, laser therapy
Treatment Planning: Create safe, personalized medical or surgical care plans for patients.
*Qualifications & Requirements:*
Education: MBBS degree followed by a post-graduate specialization like MS, DNB, or DO in Ophthalmology, plus residency and fellowship training.
Licensure: Valid state or national medical council registration and license to practice specialized surgery.
*Key Skills:*
High surgical precision and steady hand-eye coordination.
Advanced diagnostic interpretation (e.g., OCT, visual fields).
Strong leadership and team management.
Clear communication and patient empathy
