Cashier

About the Role

Autoveer is looking for a responsible, honest, and detail-oriented Cashier for our Bajaj showroom in Karnal. The candidate will be responsible for handling daily customer payments, maintaining cash and transaction records, preparing receipts, and supporting the dealership's day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle cash, UPI, card, cheque, and bank transfer transactions.
• Collect and verify customer payments against vehicle bookings and invoices.
• Issue receipts and maintain proper payment documentation.
• Maintain the daily cash book and reconcile cash at the end of each day.
• Prepare daily collection and transaction reports.
• Handle petty cash and maintain bills and supporting vouchers.
• Coordinate with the Sales and Accounts teams regarding customer payments.
• Maintain records of vehicle booking amounts, advances, down payments, and outstanding balances.
• Deposit cash and cheques into the company's bank account as instructed.
• Ensure all transactions are accurately entered into the company's accounting system.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information.
• Follow company policies and procedures for cash handling and documentation.

Requirements

• 12th pass or Graduate.
• 1–3 years of experience as a Cashier, Accounts Assistant, or in a similar role preferred.
• Experience in an automobile dealership will be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping.
• Strong numerical and calculation skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Honest, trustworthy, and responsible in handling money.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to maintain proper records and work within deadlines.
