Plant Location: Marut Air Systems Pvt. Ltd. Manufacturing Facility, Ghumasan Road, opposite Ghumasan - Rop Uchher Kendra, Ahmedabad - Patan Highway Rd, Ghumasan, Gujarat 384450

Note: This role is based at our Manufacturing Facility,Ghumasan, Kadi, but the candidate will be required to visit the Head Office location sometimes for coordination and communication.

Role Overview- We are looking for a Purchase Engineer who can set up our entire purchase team from scratch, manage the team effectively, and bring strong negotiation skills to our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the timely availability of materials and build strong vendor relationships while seamlessly bridging the communication between our Head Office and manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities-

• Set up the entire purchase team and establish structured procurement processes from the ground up.
• Manage, mentor, and lead the day-to-day operations of the purchase team.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable engineering and raw material suppliers (Vendor Development).
• Use strong negotiation skills to secure the best pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms with vendors.
• Maintain robust vendor management practices, including performance tracking and relationship building.
• Visit the plant location regularly to ensure tight coordination and smooth communication between the factory floor and the Head Office.
• Coordinate closely with internal departments like production, dispatch, and finance for precise material planning.
• Handle procurement and purchase activities for raw materials and other technical requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels closely to ensure timely procurement and avoid shortages.
• Execute precise order processing, including preparing purchase orders and tracking them for on-time delivery.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, documentation, and reports while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Candidate Requirements-

• Education: Graduate / Diploma in Engineering or a relevant technical background.
• Core Competencies: Proven capability to manage a team, setup department workflows, and demonstrate exceptional, strong negotiation skills.
• Mobility: Must be willing and able to travel to the Ghumasan plant location for on-ground coordination.
