Operations Lead - Modular Furniture

About NirmanbookNirmanbook is a B2B Cloud Manufacturing Platform for Architects, Interior Designers, Builders & Retailers, enabling them to design, manufacture and deliver modular furniture through a technology-enabled manufacturing network.

RoleWe are looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to own the complete post-sales execution lifecycle — from production planning to final installation and project handover.

Key Responsibilities1. Production Management

• Coordinate with manufacturing partners and manage production schedules.
• Track production progress, timelines and project readiness.
• Ensure manufacturing is as per approved drawings, BOM and specifications.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks.

2. Quality Management

• Own factory-level QC before dispatch.
• Identify and control issues such as wrong/missing panels, incorrect drilling, edge-banding/finish issues, damaged material and missing hardware.
• Drive rework reduction and maintain quality standards.

3. Installation & Site Management

• Plan and coordinate installation teams across projects.
• Monitor daily site progress and installer productivity.
• Resolve site preparation, design, measurement, material and installation issues.
• Ensure projects are completed within committed timelines.
• Manage snag closure and final handover.

4. Project & Partner Management

• Maintain end-to-end project trackers from Production → QC → Dispatch → Installation → Handover.
• Coordinate between design, procurement, factories, logistics, installers and customers.
• Manage manufacturing and installation partners and ensure adherence to Nirmanbook SOPs.
• Must-Have Requirements5–8 years of experience in the modular furniture industry.
• Strong practical understanding of modular kitchens, wardrobes and furniture manufacturing.
• Experience in production + QC + installation/site management.
• Ability to read and understand furniture drawings and BOMs.
• Strong project management, coordination and follow-up skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and ownership mindset.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel to factories and project sites when required.
