About the Role
Bima Sakhi is an initiative of Life Insurance Corporation of India designed to provide women with an opportunity to build a career as an LIC insurance agent. Bima Sakhis help individuals and families understand their life insurance and financial protection needs and assist them in choosing suitable LIC policies.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and approach prospective customers in the local community.
Explain LIC life insurance plans, benefits, features, and premium options to customers.
Understand customers' financial protection and savings requirements.
Generate new business and develop a strong customer network.
Maintain regular contact with existing and prospective customers.
Assist customers with the policy application and documentation process.
Provide appropriate after-sales service and support.
Participate in LIC training, meetings, and development programs.
Follow LIC's rules, regulations, and professional standards.
Eligibility
Women candidates who meet the eligibility requirements prescribed by LIC.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn about life insurance and financial planning.
Ability to meet and interact with customers.
Basic knowledge of smartphones and digital applications is helpful.
