Kitchen Helper – Job Responsibilities

• Assist the chef/cook with daily food preparation.
• Wash, cut, peel, and prepare vegetables, chicken, and other ingredients.
• Prepare ingredients according to the café’s standard recipes and portion sizes.
• Assist in preparing wraps, burgers, shawarma, rice dishes, snacks, and beverages as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, workstations, utensils, and equipment.
• Wash and sanitize utensils, vessels, cutting boards, and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure proper storage of raw materials and follow FIFO (First In, First Out).
• Check freshness and quality of ingredients before use.
• Support stock counting and inform the supervisor about low-stock or damaged items.
• Follow food safety, personal hygiene, and kitchen safety procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen activities.
• Minimize food wastage and use ingredients responsibly.
• Keep the kitchen organized during busy hours.
• Assist the chef and other kitchen staff whenever required.
• Follow instructions from the Kitchen Supervisor/Manager and maintain discipline at work
