Debt Collector

JOB DESCRIBTION :

Position OverviewWe are seeking motivated and disciplined professionals to join our Debit Recovery team. The primary responsibility will be to recover overdue payments from customers while maintaining professionalism, empathy, and adherence to company policies. Preference will be given to candidates with prior DRA certification/experience, followed by non-DRA candidates with relevant recovery or collections background.

Key Responsibilities

* Contact customers with overdue accounts via phone, email, or field visits.

* Negotiate repayment plans and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.

* Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and recovery progress.

* Escalate unresolved cases to senior management or legal teams as required.

* Achieve monthly and quarterly recovery targets.

* Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.

* Provide feedback and insights to improve recovery strategies.

* Preferred Candidate ProfileFirst Preference: DRA Certified CandidatesValid Debt Recovery Agent (DRA) certification.

* Proven experience in collections, recovery, or financial services.

* Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.

* Familiarity with RBI guidelines and recovery compliance standards.

* Second Preference: Non-DRA CandidatesMinimum 1–2 years of experience in collections, sales, or customer service.

* Ability to learn and adapt quickly to recovery processes.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Willingness to obtain DRA certification within a specified timeframe (if required).

Minimum Qualification:

 * Graduate in any discipline (Commerce/Finance preferred).

 * SSC/INTER/DIPLOMA

Language proficiency:

 Local language + basic English communication.

Computer literacy: MS Office, CRM tools .
