Care Assistant

Core Responsibilities

1. Personal Care Assistance

• Assist patients with daily hygiene such as bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, and toileting.
• Support with diaper changing, bedpan use, linen change, and repositioning.
• Help with patient transfers, mobility, and movement across the house or for activities like sunbathing, physiotherapy, and basic exercises.

2. Nutrition & Medication Support

• Serve and feed meals as per the prescribed diet chart.
• Administer medications as provided by the family, under their supervision and as per schedule.

3. Emotional and Recreational Engagement

• Provide companionship and emotional comfort to patients.
• Encourage participation in basic recreational and leisure activities to support overall well-being.

4. Monitoring & Reporting

• Record daily observations and care provided in patient logs accurately and promptly.
• Report any significant physical, behavioral, or emotional changes to the Clinical Manager immediately.
• Assist in early identification of risks or concerns in the homecare setting.

5. Environment & Safety Maintenance

• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment for the patient at all times.
• Follow hygiene and infection control procedures diligently.
• Assist in emergency situations by following the escalation process and informing the Clinical Manager.

Profile

Knowledge and Experience

• Education: GDA / 10th Std / PUC
• Experience: Freshers and above (preference to those with caregiving experience)
• Basic knowledge of hygiene, nutrition, and elderly care preferred
