Job Description
Assistant Manager for Debt Management oversees loan recovery targets, manages field agencies, and ensures legal and regulatory compliance in retail or consumer lending portfolios.
Job Purpose :
Manage delinquent accounts and drive overdue payment recoveries.Bridge the gap between field collection staff, external agencies, and senior management.Achieve annual operating plan (AOP) and efficiency targets for assigned geographical portfolios.
Key ResponsibilitiesTarget Achievement: Meet monthly collection, resolution, and portfolio delinquency reduction goals.
Compliance & Legal Adherence: Ensure repossession and collection procedures follow legal guidelines and organizational codes of conduct.
Risk & Report Analysis: Manage Daily Risk Reports (DRR), track case-to-case progress, and maintain MIS dashboards.
Escalation Handling: Resolve customer disputes, address defaults, and coordinate with internal credit, risk, and operations teams.
Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Graduate or Post-Graduate in any discipline.
Experience: 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in collections, debt recovery, or team management.Skills:
Strong negotiation, team leadership, data analysis (Excel/MIS), and interpersonal communication skills.
