Accountant/ Accounts Executive

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries, including purchase, sales, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Handle GST-related work, including return preparation, input tax credit reconciliation, and invoice verification.
• Perform bank reconciliation and maintain accurate financial records.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Maintain purchase invoices, supplier records, expense records, and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with the stores and purchase departments to reconcile raw material stock records with accounting records.
• Assist in monthly closing, expense statements, and preparation of management reports.
• Handle TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and return-related documentation, as applicable.
• Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and banks when required.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure accounting records are accurate and up to date.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of accounting principles and GST.
• Practical experience with Tally or other accounting software.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Understanding of bank reconciliation, vendor payments, and inventory accounting.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and good organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and GST.
