Reporting to: Marketing Manager / General Manager / Plant Head

Qualification: Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred

Experience: 2–5 years preferred in industrial sales; freshers with good communication and technical knowledge may also apply.

1. Job Purpose

To develop new business opportunities, generate sales leads, maintain customer relationships, promote hydraulic products and services, and achieve the company's sales targets in industrial and hydraulic equipment markets.

2. Roles and Responsibilities

A. Customer Development

- Identify new customers in cement, mining, steel, power, infrastructure and manufacturing industries.

- Visit customer plants, workshops and purchase departments.

- Develop relationships with purchase managers, maintenance managers and engineering teams.

- Generate new enquiries and follow up on existing customers.

B. Product Sales and Technical Marketing

- Promote hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, filters, power packs, hydraulic jacks and pullers.

- Market torque wrenches, pump spares and hydraulic testing and repair services.

- Promote applicable Rexroth and Enerpac products and services.

- Understand customer technical requirements and coordinate with the service and engineering teams.

C. Quotations and Order Processing

- Prepare and follow up on quotations, offers and purchase orders.

- Coordinate pricing, delivery schedules and payment terms with management.

- Follow up on pending orders, dispatches and customer payments.

- Maintain customer records and sales enquiry reports.

D. Market Research and Sales Planning

- Identify new markets, competitors and business opportunities.

- Develop customer databases and territory-wise sales plans.

- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

- Submit daily visit reports, weekly enquiry reports and monthly sales performance reports.

E. Customer Service and Coordination

- Coordinate with service engineers for customer complaints and technical visits.

- Follow up on hydraulic pump repairs, testing and servicing enquiries.

- Collect customer feedback and support repeat business.

- Coordinate with stores, production, service and accounts departments.

3. Required Skills

- Good communication and negotiation skills.

- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and industrial equipment.

- Ability to identify customer requirements and explain product benefits.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, email and sales reporting.

- Willingness to travel for customer visits.

- Self-motivated, target-oriented and capable of developing new customers.

- Valid driving licence preferred.
