Outlet Manager

Job Summary-

The Retail Outlet Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the petrol pump, including sales growth, staff supervision, cash and stock management, customer service, safety compliance, and daily operations. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills and the ability to achieve sales targets while maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

• Achieve monthly sales targets for petrol, diesel, premium fuels, lubricants, and other products.
• Develop strategies to increase fuel sales and improve outlet profitability.
• Build relationships with local businesses, transport operators, fleet owners, and commercial customers.
• Promote digital payments, customer loyalty programmes, and other company initiatives.

2. Staff & Team Management

• Supervise and manage petrol pump staff, including supervisors, cashiers, and fuel attendants.
• Prepare duty rosters and ensure punctuality, discipline, grooming, and uniform compliance.
• Train employees on customer service, correct fueling procedures, and safety practices.
• Monitor staff performance and motivate the team to achieve targets.

3. Operations & Inventory Management

• Ensure smooth daily operations and uninterrupted customer service.
• Monitor fuel stock, tank dips, sales figures, and daily stock reconciliation.
• Ensure correct fuel dispensing, quality checks, and quantity checks as per applicable procedures.
• Maintain daily sales reports, shift handover records, and operational registers.

4. Cash & Accounts Management

• Monitor daily cash collections, digital payments, credit sales, and bank deposits.
• Ensure accurate shift-wise cash reconciliation and timely reporting.
• Maintain records of expenses, credit customers, and outstanding payments.
• Coordinate with the accounts team for billing and financial reporting.

5. Customer Service & Outlet Maintenance

• Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and handle complaints professionally.
• Ensure cleanliness of the forecourt, toilets, office, and customer facilities.
• Improve customer ratings, feedback, and overall outlet reputation.
• Ensure proper implementation of company SOPs and service standards.

6. Safety & Compliance

• Follow HPCL guidelines, fire safety procedures, and applicable petroleum safety regulations.
• Conduct regular checks of dispensing units, safety equipment, and emergency facilities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements, inspections, and documentation.
• Report operational issues, incidents, and equipment breakdowns promptly.
