Quality Assurance / Quality Inspector (Mechanical)

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance / Quality Inspector with a strong understanding of mechanical inspection and measurement processes. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting mechanical components, verifying dimensions as per drawings and maintaining quality-related documentation.

Key Responsibilities :

• Inspect and measure mechanical components using manual Vernier Calipers and other measuring instruments.
• Read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings and verify component dimensions as per specifications.
• Check dimensional accuracy and quality of manufactured mechanical items.
• Have good knowledge of gauge preparation and marking techniques.
• Maintain inspection reports, quality records and other relevant documentation.
• Identify dimensional deviations and coordinate with the concerned team for corrective action.
• Ensure that products/components meet specified quality standards and drawing requirements.
• Coordinate with production and other departments regarding quality and inspection-related issues.
• Identify root causes of quality issues and take appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to reduce rejections, minimize rework, and improve production efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical quality inspection/assurance.
• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Sound knowledge of Vernier Caliper and manual measuring instruments.
• Good knowledge of gauge making and marking.
• Ability to read and understand 2D mechanical drawings.
• Experience in checking measurements and dimensions of mechanical components.
• Good documentation and record-maintaining skills.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Salary : ₹16,000 – ₹18,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.
