Job Description
Breathe Superspeciality Clinic (Respirit Healthcare Pvt Ltd), Khanapara, Guwahati is hiring a Lab Technician cum Phlebotomist for home sample collection.
You will visit patients' homes across Guwahati, collect blood and other samples safely, maintain the cold chain, and deliver samples to the clinic/partner lab on time. When not on field duty, you will assist with in-clinic sample collection and basic lab work.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to patient homes for blood sample collection as per daily assigned schedule
- Perform venipuncture safely and with minimum patient discomfort (including elderly and paediatric patients)
- Correct labelling, barcoding, and documentation of every sample — zero mismatch tolerance
- Maintain cold chain and correct vacutainer/tube order of draw
- Deliver samples to clinic/partner lab within TAT
- Collect payment (cash/UPI) and issue receipt where applicable
- Assist in clinic-based sample collection and basic lab procedures
- Maintain biomedical waste segregation and infection control protocols
- Update daily collection register / app entries accurately
Requirements
- DMLT / BMLT / equivalent lab technician qualification (mandatory)
- 1–3 years phlebotomy experience preferred; freshers with strong practical training may apply
- Own two-wheeler with valid driving licence (mandatory) — field role
- Own smartphone
- Good knowledge of Guwahati city routes
- Assamese and Hindi speaking required; basic English reading/writing
- Presentable, polite, punctual — you are the face of the clinic in the patient's home
