Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Wireless Network Engineer responsible for the installation, configuration, commissioning, optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance of RF-based wireless network equipment. The candidate should have hands-on experience with Ubiquiti, Mimosa, and MikroTik wireless/RF devices and be comfortable working at customer sites, towers, rooftops, and network locations.

Key ResponsibilitiesInstall and configure

• Ubiquiti, Mimosa, and MikroTik RF devices.
• Perform Point-to-Point (PTP) and Point-to-Multipoint (PTMP) wireless link deployments.
• Conduct RF link planning, alignment, commissioning, and optimization.
• Configure wireless parameters including frequency, channel width, power, modulation, bandwidth, and throughput.
• Perform RF spectrum analysis and identify interference/noise issues.
• Optimize wireless links for maximum throughput, stability, and low latency.
• Configure and troubleshoot VLAN, IP addressing, routing, DHCP, NAT, and firewall requirements.
• Monitor wireless link performance, signal strength, CCQ/SNR, latency, packet loss, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot link downtime, low throughput, interference, packet loss, and connectivity issues.
• Perform antenna alignment and ensure proper RF link establishment.
• Maintain network documentation, configuration backups, and link details.
• Coordinate with the NOC and field teams for installation and troubleshooting activities.
• Handle preventive maintenance and performance optimization of deployed RF equipment.
• Ensure proper installation practices, cable management, grounding, and equipment safety.
• Required Technical SkillsStrong hands-on knowledge of Ubiquiti airMAX / airFiber products.
• Experience with Mimosa B5/B11/C5/C6 or similar RF platforms.
• Good knowledge of MikroTik RouterOS and MikroTik wireless devices.
• Understanding of 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, 6 GHz and licensed/unlicensed RF concepts.
• Good understanding of SNR, RSSI, CINR, Noise Floor, MCS, modulation, channel width, and interference.
• Knowledge of PTP/PTMP wireless networking.
• Basic-to-good understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, DHCP, NAT and firewall.
• Ability to use RF spectrum analysis and link diagnostic tools.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Preferred CertificationsMikroTik MTCNA / MTCRE / MTCWE
• Ubiquiti wireless certifications
• Relevant networking/RF certifications will be an added advantage.
• Candidate ProfileStrong field troubleshooting capability.
• Comfortable working at heights/towers where required.
• Willingness to travel to customer and network sites.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as with the NOC/network team.
• Valid driving licence would be an advantage.
