Site Civil Engineer

Job Description: Site Civil EngineerJob SummaryA Site Civil Engineer is responsible for supervising and managing day-to-day construction activities at the project site to ensure that work is completed according to approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

• Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily civil construction activities, including excavation, foundation, RCC work, brickwork, plastering, flooring, and finishing.
• Read and interpret architectural, structural, and civil engineering drawings.
• Ensure construction work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Monitor site progress and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, supervisors, and other project team members.
• Check reinforcement steel, shuttering, concrete pouring, and other construction activities before execution.
• Monitor the quality of construction materials and workmanship.
• Prepare daily progress reports, site measurements, and work completion reports.
• Calculate quantities of materials and assist in preparing BOQs and material requisitions.
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machinery, and construction materials.
• Maintain site records, including measurement books, inspection reports, and material consumption records.
• Ensure compliance with site safety rules and housekeeping requirements.
• Identify site issues and coordinate with the project manager to resolve technical problems.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Relevant experience in building construction, infrastructure, or other civil engineering projects.
• Knowledge of civil engineering drawings, construction methods, and quality control procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel is desirable.
• Knowledge of surveying instruments and quantity estimation is an advantage.
