HSE Executive

Job Purpose

To ensure compliance with all health, safety, food safety, environmental, and statutory requirements across catering operations. The HSE Executive will implement safety programs, conduct inspections, promote a safety culture, and support continuous improvement in workplace health, hygiene, and environmental performance.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety Management

• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and audits.
• Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor safe work practices in kitchen, dining, storage, and production areas.
• Maintain safety records, permits, and compliance documentation.
• Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).

Food Safety & Hygiene

• Monitor implementation of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI guidelines, or equivalent).
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, cooking, and serving practices.
• Conduct hygiene inspections of kitchens, cold rooms, and food storage facilities.
• Monitor pest control programs and sanitation schedules.
• Coordinate food safety training for employees.

Environmental Management

• Implement waste segregation and waste management programs.
• Monitor water, energy, and resource conservation initiatives.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of food waste and hazardous materials.
• Support sustainability and environmental compliance initiatives.

Incident Management

• Investigate accidents, injuries, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
• Prepare incident investigation reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Track closure of safety observations and action items.
• Maintain emergency response and business continuity plans.

Training & Awareness

• Conduct HSE induction programs for new employees.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness campaigns.
• Organize fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises.
• Promote a positive safety culture among employees and contractors.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain statutory registers, permits, licenses, and compliance records.
• Coordinate with auditors, clients, and regulatory authorities.
• Support internal and external HSE audits.
• Prepare monthly HSE performance reports and dashboards.
