Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee our core financial operations. You will manage the end-to-end sales and purchase cycles, direct vendor payments, and enforce strict credit control policies. The ideal candidate will ensure financial accuracy, maintain strong vendor relationships, and optimize cash flow by minimizing outstanding debts. 

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Purchase Management

• Oversee accurate recording of all sales invoices and purchase bills.
• Reconcile daily sales reports with bank receipts and accounting software.
• Verify purchase orders against supplier invoices and receiving reports.
• Maintain clean, organized digital and physical financial ledgers.

Vendor Payments & Accounts Payable

• Manage the complete vendor payment cycle from verification to execution.
• Schedule timely payments while maximizing early-payment discounts.
• Reconcile vendor statements monthly to resolve discrepancies immediately.
• Handle supplier queries regarding payment status and billing issues. 

Credit Control & Accounts Receivable

• Evaluate and approve credit limits for new and existing customers.
• Monitor customer aging reports to identify overdue accounts.
• Implement proactive collection strategies via phone, email, and letters.
• Resolve billing disputes to accelerate the collection process.

Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts based on payables and receivables.
• Generate aging analysis reports for management review.
• Assist with tax filings related to sales and purchases.
• Support internal and external audit processes with required documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on AP, AR, and credit control.
• Software: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Xero).
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data analysis).
• Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills
