A merchandise job description for a multi-category role covering bags, home decor, and jewellery involves product sourcing, vendor coordination, sample approvals, and inventory planning.The role ensures timely production and high visual appeal across retail or export channels.Key Responsibilities. Sourcing & Development: Find reliable vendors for raw materials and finished goods across bags, home goods, and jewellery lines.Sampling & Approvals: Coordinate with design teams to track prototypes, trims, and quality finish checks.Order Management: Track production schedules from order placement to final dispatch.Inventory & Planning: Forecast stock levels and manage assortment plans to meet sales targets.Required Skills. Product Knowledge: Understanding of materials, hardware, textiles, and precious/semi-precious elements.Negotiation: Strong vendor price negotiation and cost-control abilities.Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
