Job Title: Travel Consultant
Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Travel Consultant to assist clients in planning and booking travel arrangements. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional travel experiences.
- Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand travel needs, preferences, and budgets
- Research and recommend destinations, accommodations, transportation, and activities
- Book flights, hotels, cruises, tours, car rentals, and other travel services
- Provide information on travel regulations, visa requirements, insurance, and safety guidelines
- Prepare travel itineraries and ensure all arrangements are accurate
- Handle travel changes, cancellations, and customer inquiries
- Maintain relationships with vendors, airlines, and hotels
- Achieve sales targets and promote travel packages and upgrades
- Process payments and maintain accurate records
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Travel Consultant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations
- Familiarity with booking systems (e.g., GDS like Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong sales and negotiation abilities
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
