Production Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Scheduling

• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and shipment schedules.
• Coordinate with merchandising, planning, and procurement teams to ensure timely execution.
• Allocate manpower, machinery, and resources efficiently.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.

2. Manufacturing Operations

• Supervise end-to-end production of home furnishing products such as cushions, curtains, throws, table linen, bedding, rugs,

storage baskets, and decorative accessories.

• Ensure adherence to production processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Optimize production capacity while minimizing downtime.

3. Quality Management

• Ensure products meet buyer specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with the quality assurance team for inline and final inspections.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to reduce defects and rework.

4. Team Management

• Lead and supervise production supervisors, line leaders, and factory workers.
• Assign daily work targets and monitor performance.
• Conduct training programs to improve productivity, quality awareness, and safety.
• Maintain discipline and foster a positive work environment.

5. Material & Inventory Control

• Coordinate with stores and procurement for timely availability of raw materials, trims, packaging, and accessories.
• Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
• Ensure proper inventory control of work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods.

6. Productivity & Cost Control

• Improve production efficiency through process optimization and lean manufacturing practices.
• Monitor key production KPIs such as efficiency, rejection rate, machine utilization, and labor productivity.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

7. Buyer & Compliance Requirements

• Ensure compliance with buyer requirements and factory standards.
• Coordinate production for audits and customer visits.
• Maintain records related to production, quality and compliance.

8. Machinery & Maintenance

• Coordinate preventive maintenance of machines and equipment.
• Ensure maximum machine availability and minimum breakdown time.
• Recommend new equipment or process improvements when required.

9. Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Promote safe working practices across the production floor.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.

10. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily production reports, efficiency reports, and shipment status updates.
• Analyze production data and present improvement plans to management.
• Maintain production records and documentation for audits and traceability.
