Required Qualification

B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering

Required Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in production management in a precision instruments manufacturing unit or packaging machine manufacturing unit.

Job Brief

Looking for an experienced Plant Head / Factory Manager to manage the entire manufacturing plant and production floor, from planning to execution, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, productivity, and delivery timelines.

Preference will be given to candidates from packaging machine manufacturing units or testing instruments manufacturing units.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
• Ensure manpower allocation and optimal utilization of resources.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing tools for process improvement.
• Monitor machine utilization, downtime, productivity, and overall plant efficiency.
• Coordinate with Quality, Purchase, Stores, and other departments for smooth plant operations.
• Approve production-related documentation and reports.
• Ensure adherence to safety norms, 5S practices, and standard operating procedures.
• Lead the production team to achieve production targets and control manufacturing costs.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive continuous improvement in production processes, productivity, quality, and delivery performance.

Requirements and Skills

• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, including CNC, fabrication, welding, bending, laser cutting, assembly, and testing.
• Knowledge of ZOHO production modules.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good understanding of quality control procedures.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings related to machining, fabrication, and assembly.
• Good knowledge of testing and measuring instruments.
• Strong understanding of plant operations, production planning, resource management, and process improvement.
