Jewellery Sales Associate

Key Responsibilities1. Jewellery Sales & Customer Handling

• Attend to customers and assist them in selecting gold, silver, and diamond jewellery.
• Understand customer preferences, requirements, and budgets to recommend suitable products.
• Actively promote jewellery products, upsell higher-value items, and encourage customers to explore diamond jewellery.
• Convert walk-in enquiries into sales and achieve monthly sales targets.
• Explain product quality, purity, diamond specifications, pricing, and making charges to customers.
• Build customer relationships and follow up on prospective sales.

2. Jewellery Calculations & Billing

• Perform accurate calculations for gold and silver weight, purity, prevailing rates, making charges, wastage, and applicable taxes.
• Understand diamond weight, pricing, and jewellery costing.
• Prepare quotations and process customer bills accurately.
• Handle exchanges, returns, and price calculations as per company policies.

3. Inventory & Stock Management

• Maintain accurate stock records for gold, silver, and diamond jewellery.
• Ensure proper tagging, stock movement tracking, and jewellery handling.
• Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile stock with system records.
• Monitor sales, purchases, transfers, returns, and repairs.
• Ensure proper accountability and security of jewellery inventory.

4. Counter Operations

• Maintain an organised and presentable jewellery counter.
• Ensure correct tagging, display, and storage of jewellery.
• Maintain accurate customer, sales, and inventory records using jewellery billing or inventory software.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure smooth showroom operations.
• Required Skills & Qualifications2–5 years of experience in jewellery retail sales preferred.
• Knowledge of gold, silver, and diamond jewellery.
• Strong numerical ability and accuracy in jewellery calculations.
• Good salesmanship and the ability to upsell products.
• Understanding of jewellery stock management and reconciliation.
• Good communication, customer service, and negotiation skills.
• Honest, detail-oriented, responsible, and target-driven.
• Experience with jewellery billing and inventory software preferred.
