Credit Analyst

Job Description – Credit Department

Role Summary:

The Credit Department will be responsible for managing the credit evaluation process,

coordinating with the Relationship Manager team, and ensuring timely loan disbursal. This role

requires strong knowledge of banking procedures, document verification, and credit

underwriting. The Credit Department will also supervise re-loan processes, work closely with

field staff for customer verification, and ensure smooth operations, especially during month-end

deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the Relationship Manager team to collect and verify all necessary

customer documents.

• Conduct thorough verification of customer documents related to property, salary, and

other loan details.

• Assess customer creditworthiness by checking CIBIL scores, salary slips, and existing

loan obligations.

• Collaborate with field agents for in-person customer verification.

• Review and approve loan applications based on underwriting guidelines and banking

policies.

• Manage and oversee the loan disbursal process to ensure timely delivery to customers.

• Handle re-loan processing and approvals, especially during the critical month-end

period.

• Work extended hours, including till 12 AM on the last days of the month, to ensure all

processes are completed on time.

• Maintain accurate records of all credit-related activities and customer interactions.

• Stay updated on banking regulations, underwriting standards, and credit risk management

best practices.
