About the RoleWe are looking for an E-commerce Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting, taxation, inventory, and reconciliation activities for our online marketplace business. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Amazon, Flipkart, GST, inventory accounting, and marketplace reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities1. E-commerce Accounting & Reconciliation

• Manage daily accounting transactions related to Amazon, Flipkart, and other e-commerce marketplaces.
• Reconcile marketplace sales, settlements, refunds, returns, commissions, fees, TCS/TDS, and other deductions.
• Track marketplace receivables and ensure timely identification and resolution of discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate sales and purchase records.

2. Taxation & GST

• Manage GST compliance and taxation related to e-commerce transactions.
• Reconcile GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B and marketplace data.
• Track and reconcile TCS/TDS deducted by Amazon, Flipkart, and other marketplaces.
• Ensure correct GST treatment for sales, purchases, returns, and marketplace fees.
• Coordinate with external consultants/CA for tax filings, audits, and other statutory requirements.

3. Inventory & Purchase Accounting

• Maintain daily records of inventory purchases, inward stock, outward stock, sales, returns, and adjustments.
• Track inventory movement between warehouses, locations, and marketplaces.
• Reconcile physical inventory with accounting/system records.
• Record and verify purchase invoices and ensure proper GST input credit tracking.
• Monitor stock valuation and identify inventory discrepancies.

4. Inbound & Outbound Operations

• Maintain accounting records for inbound and outbound inventory movements.
• Reconcile goods received against purchase orders/invoices.
• Track marketplace returns, customer returns, damaged goods, and replacement shipments.
• Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to resolve inventory mismatches.

5. MIS & Reporting

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports covering:
• 
  
• Marketplace sales
• Purchases
• Inventory
• Returns and refunds
• Marketplace settlements
• GST/TCS/TDS
• Outstanding receivables/payables
• Profitability and expenses
• Provide management with accurate financial and inventory data for decision-making.
• Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in e-commerce/FMCG/retail.
• Strong understanding of GST and e-commerce taxation.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central and Flipkart Seller Hub.
• Good knowledge of Tally/ERP/accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of inventory accounting and stock movement.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and independently follow them through to resolution.
• Preferred ExperienceExperience handling high-volume marketplace transactions.
• Experience with Amazon/Flipkart settlement and payment reconciliation.
• Knowledge of TCS, TDS, GST input credit, marketplace fees and commissions.
• Experience working with warehouse, purchase, operations, and finance teams.
