AR Callers -Patient Calling

1) Scheduling Service:

· Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments as directed.

· Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.

· Verify patient financial responsibility, including copay's, deductibles, and outstanding balances, before appointments.

· Collect copay's, deductibles, and outstanding balances by phone when appropriate.

· Review insurance verification results for coverage limitations and notify the appropriate staff of any issues.

· Upload insurance cards, photo IDs, and patient forms into the EMR.

· Verify Primary Care Physician (PCP) assignment when required by insurance plans.

2) Clinical Support Services

· Route clinical questions and patient messages to the appropriate clinical staff through the EMR (including Jelly Bean creation and assignment).

· Review, process, and route incoming faxes to the appropriate department or staff member.

· Assist patients with basic billing inquiries and direct complex billing matters to the appropriate personnel.

· Support general administrative and clinical workflow tasks as assigned by the Customer.
