Video Editor & Motion Graphics Artist

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for a Video Editor & Motion Graphics Artist. The role involves editing raw video footage into polished content for marketing campaigns, social media, brand films, and client presentations. The team member will design and animate motion graphics elements such as titles, lower thirds, transitions, and explainer graphics that align with brand guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with creative directors, designers, and copywriters to interpret storyboards, selecting music and sound effects, performing basic audio cleanup, and ensuring timely delivery of projects. The role also includes color correction and grading, managing video files and project archives, and contributing creative ideas to enhance visual storytelling.

Required Skills

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production for short-form and long-form content.
• Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics for creating visually engaging animations and design elements.
• Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent and appealing visual styles.
• Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator (or equivalent software).
• Ability to interpret creative briefs, follow brand guidelines, and work collaboratively within tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, storytelling ability, and a portfolio showcasing video editing and motion graphics work.
• Relevant education or training in film, media, animation, design, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing.
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects for creating motion graphics, animations, and visual effects.
• Basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Good understanding of animation principles, timing, keyframes, and easing.
• Good understanding of video formats, codecs, frame rates, and export settings.
• Strong storytelling, visual composition, and typography skills.
• Ability to receive feedback and implement revisions efficiently.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in video editing and motion graphics.
• Experience creating content for Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms.
• Experience creating branded animations, explainer videos, and promotional content.
• Basic knowledge of cinematography and shooting techniques is an added advantage
