Store Assistant

Role Summary: We are a medical equipment assembly company looking for a detail-oriented Store Keeper to manage components, sub-assemblies, and finished devices. You will keep accurate records, ensure traceability, and supply the assembly line with the right parts on time, in line with our quality system requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive components, raw materials, and packaging, and verify them against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery challans
• Coordinate with QC on incoming inspection; keep unapproved or rejected items separate in quarantine/hold areas
• Record batch/lot numbers, serial numbers, and expiry dates to maintain full traceability
• Store items by category and storage conditions (temperature, humidity, ESD-sensitive, fragile), following FIFO/FEFO
• Issue and kit components to the assembly line against the Bill of Materials (BOM) and production orders
• Receive finished devices from production and manage storage, dispatch, and packing documentation
• Maintain stock records in ERP/Tally/Excel and update GRNs, issue slips, and gate passes daily
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical stock verification, and investigate discrepancies
• Track shelf life and flag near-expiry items
• Handle returns, damaged goods, and non-conforming material as per documented procedures
• Support internal and external audits by keeping records complete and retrievable
• Keep the store clean, organised, pest-free, and compliant with safety and housekeeping norms
• Alert the manager to low stock and reorder needs
