Job Description
- Prepare and cook a variety of South Indian NON VEG dishes, FISH CURRIES and curries, according to traditional recipes and culinary standards.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of all dishes prepared, paying close attention to taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to plan menus, develop new recipes, and create innovative dishes while maintaining authenticity.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of South Indian ingredients and spices, ensuring freshness and availability at all times.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in proper food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation standards, promoting a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to coordinate timing and execution of food orders, ensuring smooth service during peak hours.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper storage, handling, and labeling of food products.
- Stay updated on current food trends, ingredients, and cooking methods related to South Indian cuisine, incorporating new ideas into menu development when appropriate.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with guests, addressing any special requests or dietary restrictions, and ensuring a memorable dining experience.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
