Roto Artist

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Roto Artist to join our VFX team. The candidate will be responsible for creating accurate rotoscoping mattes and clean extractions for VFX shots while maintaining quality, consistency, and production deadlines.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of rotoscoping techniques, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a production environment.

• Key ResponsibilitiesCreate accurate and clean roto mattes for VFX shots.
• Perform detailed rotoscoping for characters, objects, vehicles, and other elements.
• Handle complex shapes, motion blur, hair, semi-transparent objects, and challenging edges.
• Maintain proper edge quality and smoothness throughout the shot.
• Track and animate roto shapes according to the movement of the subject.
• Ensure frame-by-frame accuracy wherever required.
• Work closely with Compositors, VFX Supervisors, and Team Leads.
• Follow project-specific technical and quality requirements.
• Complete assigned shots within the given deadlines.
• Review and correct roto work based on supervisor feedback.
• Maintain proper file organization and naming conventions.
• Ensure consistency across multiple shots and sequences.
• Required SkillsStrong knowledge of Rotoscoping and Matte Creation.
• Good understanding of shapes, masks, splines, feathering, and motion tracking.
• Ability to work with complex shots and detailed elements.
• Good understanding of VFX production workflow.
• Strong attention to detail and patience for frame-by-frame work.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a production environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
