Mechanical CAD Designer

We are looking for a Mechanical AutoCAD & SolidWorks Designer to prepare accurate 2D drawings, 3D models, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and BOMs for cleanroom equipment and related mechanical fabrication projects.

The candidate should have good knowledge of sheet-metal design, manufacturing drawings, dimensional tolerances and fabrication processes and should be able to coordinate with production and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and 3D models/assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Develop GA drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and detailed part drawings.
• Create sheet-metal models, flat patterns, bend details and DXF files for laser cutting/CNC fabrication.
• Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and material specifications.
• Design equipment such as Air Showers, Dynamic/Static Pass Boxes, Biosafety Cabinets, Laminar Airflow Units, Fume Hoods, FFU housings, cleanroom accessories and other fabricated equipment.
• Prepare drawings for GI, SS304/SS316 and powder-coated sheet-metal fabrication.
• Incorporate customer requirements and approved technical specifications into drawings.
• Revise drawings based on customer comments, site requirements and production feedback.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Projects, Quality and Sales teams for design clarification.
• Check dimensions, clearances, tolerances, component fitment and manufacturability before releasing drawings.
• Maintain proper drawing numbers, revision control and design documentation.
• Support preparation of technical submittals, equipment layouts and project drawings when required.
