Electrician

1.Ensuring the electrical safety of staff, patients and attenders.

2. Ensuring that power supplies have been correctly and safely connected and used .

3.Testing and regular maintenance of all electrical equipment’s.

4.Installing and dismantling the temporary cabling at hospital.

5. Day to day maintenance i.e. changing light bulbs, cleaning fittings etc.

6.. Responsible for maintaining the temperature control for air-conditioning, refrigeration, in hospitals.

7.Ensure proper maintenance of O2 Cylinder, manifold room, vacuum and air compressors etc.

8.Maintenance of air-conditioning systems, pumps, generators lift.

9.Manually operate equipment, make adjustments, and regularly check safety devices.

10. Some other duties could include minor welding, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, and minor carpentry repairs to walls, roofs, windows, or ceilings. In this job he could wind up working independently or as part of a crew. You will also need to be able to work off hours or on shifts that can include holidays, nights, or weekends. Because a hospital never closes, there must always be maintenance workers on staff just as there are health care providers.
